Data Engineer

LS Direct is looking for a passionate Data Engineer to join our growing data department. As a Data Engineer, you will help develop data pipelines for accurate, timely reporting to clients on campaign performance, opportunity, and demographic trends, while contributing to the automation of important monitoring & evaluation programs. A successful candidate will have a strong attention to detail and will embody a mindset of continuous growth.

  • Company location: Suffern, NY.
  • Expected hours of work: Generally, work is performed Monday through Friday, though holidays and weekends may be required. This is a hybrid full-time position after successful training; 3 days in office, and 2 days at home.

Core Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain data pipelines for campaign performance (ROI), demographic analyses, customer segmentation, and operations monitoring.
  • Manage multiple projects across clients and industries.
  • Develop and output visualizations that highlight trends and adhere to best practices.
  • Contribute to the overall documentation of processes and protocols amongst the data team.
  • Re-examine and fine-tune preexisting workflows to optimize for time and quality.
  • Work with large data files from external partners and LS Direct’s internal data architecture.
  • Collaborate with other teams and departments across multiple projects and functions.

 

We’re Looking for Someone With

  • Competency with the following: GCP/AWS, SQL, Python, Airflow.
    • Alteryx experience a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree – Master’s preferred
  • 2+ years relevant work experience developing data pipelines.
  • Experience in marketing or data analysis.
  • Ability to understand and interpret transactional and secondary data sources.
  • Ability and desire to take ownership of processes from conception to production.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with a focus on communication and project management.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and a detail-oriented work style,
  • A growth mindset, committed to continuous improvement and taking on challenges.
